DICKEY
LAKE
BIBLE CAMP AND
CONFERENCE CENTER:
(DLBC) is a ministry of the Rocky Mountain Christian and Missionary
Alliance. For over 60 years this ministry has seen numerous children
and adults connect with our Lord through His awesome creation, which is so
apparent in the beautiful setting surrounding the camp. Dickey Lake Bible
Camp has been, and is today, a very effective mission reaching people for
Jesus Christ.
LOCATION:
Dickey
Lake
itself is 585 acres of clear water in the midst of
Kootenai
National Forest.
Loons, ducks, and other wildlife are abundant in the area. The views of
Montana's "Big Sky" and the
Patrick
Ridge
Mountains
across the lake are awesome. Travel northwest approximately 35 miles from
Whitefish, MT, on Highway 93. Turn left just beyond
Dickey
Lake
at the Trego turnoff, travel 3/4 mile, turn left at the Dickey Lake Bible Camp
sign. The camp is located about one mile in.
RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES:
DLBC has 22 acres with beautiful lake frontage and wooded acreage that
offers innumerable opportunities for water and outdoor activities. Campers
at DLBC may participate in a variety of activities, including chapel,
crafts, disc golf, games, swimming, boating and canoeing. Beginning the
summer of 2007 we will add archery, geocaching and paintball to the list of
activities. Canoes and peddle boats are also available for use by campers.
Boats may be launched from the public ramp at the Forest Service campground
at the north end of the lake. The common ground in the center of camp
contains a volleyball area, tetherball, horseshoe pits and a surfaced
basketball court.
CABINS AND DORMS:
DLBC has two separate dorms, with a total of 10 individual rooms, or
"cabins," within. These rooms can sleep 8-12 people each. There are three
small cabins that sleep from 3-13. All cabins have wooden bunk beds with
foam mattresses. Total sleeping capacity is approximately 140.
OTHER FACILITIES:
The 1,700-square-foot chapel has a piano, fireplace, sound system, and
simple wooden pews that can seat up to 150 people. The camp store offers
DLBC souvenirs, camping essentials, drinks, ice-cream and snacks. The first
aid room is attached to the camp store. The dining hall is fully equipped
with dishes, cooking and baking pans, a grill, convection oven, and walk-in
refrigeration unit. The shower building houses separate men's and women's
shower and toilet facilities. Also on the grounds are electric hookups for
12 RV's, a large parking lot and camping units for 17 units or tents.
Please consider Dickey Lake Bible Camp when planning a summer camp ministry
for your church, a retreat, a conference or even a family reunion or
wedding. Following the Lord's leading, we are currently updating many of the
facilities. Though this will occur over the next several years, we are fully
